Meet Mary
Taught by someone who's sat exactly where you're sitting.
Mary Elizabeth Moore holds a BFA in Graphic Design, plus graduate study toward an MFA — a career artist and designer from the ground up. She spent over 20 years as a professional illustrator and art director, including 17 years designing award-winning print work for a national organization.
She's also a trained silversmith, jewelry maker, and crochet artist who has designed and sold her own handmade pieces. Today, Mary teaches art part-time and knows firsthand how creativity keeps the mind and spirit young — which is exactly what she brings to every Ms Lizzi Studio class.
The Name Behind the Studio
“Ms Lizzi” honors two women who shaped my life.
My mother, Marietta, and her father's mother, known to family as “Miss Lizzy.” Miss Lizzy studied Home Economics at Mississippi College for Women and ran her household with the grace and skill of a bygone era — a woman I never met, but have always admired.
That same spirit of care, craft, and hospitality is what I bring to every class I teach.
